  This was my mom's favorite Chinese restaurant. Chicken chow mein was delicious today. Very nice server.

  First things first... This restaurant is smack dab in the middle of Town & Country and for some odd reason it has a decorative helicopter on top of the building. Why? I have no clue.
  
  I went right before the "lunch rush" and had the General Tso's chicken. Honestly, it was not too bad but if you pour enough sauce on anything it will be tolerable. The actual meat were all perfectly round pieces of "chicken" that were FAR from high quality. The sweet and sour chicken was much the same way. This was just pretty far off from good American Chinese and nothing like authentic Chinese. I will say their friends rice was actually pretty tasty.

  I used to like Hi Ho quite a bit, but after my most recent visit I kind of felt like I wasn't getting what I was paying for anymore.  It seemed like they were using a different recipe for the chicken fried rice and the shrimp lo mein only had a few shrimp on top.  I also didn't receive any white rice, which I wasn't sure if they don't include anymore or if they just left it out.  For $24 it was a lot of money for not a ton of quality.

  We eat here every so often, for the most part it is ok, I don't see how it stays in business, but they do. Place a bit dirty, but way better than old place! Food the other night was not the best, I had beef fried rice, wife had orange chicken. Mine Was ok, chicken was not that good! ( I tried it ) maybe should move into smaller place so could clean it up & make the food good again!! And owner kinda needs a few more people skills,
  As they say , make Chinese food good again!

  This is probably my new least favorite restaurant in the area since Honker's closed, where I found a dirty Band-Aid stuck to the bottom of my plate. (My bad though. What in the heck was I doing at HONKER'S anyway?)
  
  This was my first time here, which is weird since this place has inexplicably been in business forever, and I suspect some of the food they served us may have been around just as long.
  
  I ordered something-or-other and what I received was only vaguely suggested by the menu description. It was like a movie that is "based on a true story" but has very little to do with the true story at all. Still, I didn't complain. I am nothing if not agreeable, gentle reader, but the food itself was so incredibly bland that it was almost like eating nothing. You think I'm exaggerating, but I swear my dinner was prepared in a sauce comprised only of the salty tears of a spurned lover. (Okay, maybe there was a hint of garlic, but it was more like the ghost of a flavor than the thing itself.)
  
  Speaking of salty tears, you should see this sad place. We were the only people there. The silence and our conspicuous isolation made us feel like we were in a stage production of No Exit. To add to the oppressive atmosphere, the back half of the restaurant was veiled in darkness.
  
  I felt sad for the waitress--who might have also been the cook--and the bus boy--and the owner. She was the only sign of life we encountered in the place. I wanted to go up to her as she sat alone at a table in the cavernous new location in Town & Country (where Ponderosa and that vile, filthy crab place used to be) and to say to her softly... gently... "Some dreams just weren't meant to be..."
